Hi, I'm a Psychiatrist. I help people who need help with mental health. Love hearing music and watching movies.

For Reverend Dr. Ed Treat, living with mild depression for nearly 40 years felt like an unshakable fog clouding him. Despite his best efforts, he couldn’t escape the heaviness that weighed him down. A triggering event in his life sent him into a deeper tailspin, leaving him feeling stuck and hopeless.

“I had been dealing with depression for most of my life,” Ed shares. “I knew something was wrong, but it felt like I just couldn’t get out of it. I tried different treatments over the years, but nothing seemed to make a real difference.”

Everything changed when Ed’s psychiatrist, who had recently learned about the benefits of ketamine for mental health, suggested it as a potential treatment. After researching the option, Ed reached out to The Remedy Mental Health—and that’s when his journey to recovery began. It was here that he found the combination of treatments that would help him take back control of his life.

“I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I trusted my doctor, and together we decided to try a combination of TMS and Ketamine,” Ed recalls. “Honestly, I’m not sure which one made the biggest difference, but the results were undeniable. The treatment brought about a shift in my mental health that I hadn’t experienced before. It was like a light turned on inside me.”

For Ed, the effects were almost immediate. The brain fog that had clouded his mind for years started to lift. He no longer struggled to get out of bed each morning or face the day with the dread that had once consumed him. Instead, he woke up feeling energized, ready to tackle the day with a renewed sense of purpose.

“The change has been remarkable,” Ed reflects. “I get up early now, and I feel good about my day. I’m able to accomplish things I had put off for years, and I’m rediscovering joy in activities I once avoided. I never realized how much I was missing until I started feeling this way.”

But the transformation went beyond just his daily routine—it changed his entire outlook on life. Ed found himself more productive and more connected to the things and people that mattered most. It was as if he had regained a part of himself he hadn’t realized was lost.

“The experience at The Remedy was truly transformative,” Ed continues. “The people here are incredible. They treated me with kindness and respect, and I always felt cared for. As someone in recovery, I was initially concerned about how the treatment might affect my addiction triggers, but those concerns never materialized. In fact, the whole process has been deeply spiritual for me—a form of healing I never expected.”

Ed’s story is a powerful reminder that even after decades of struggle, hope is always within reach. For anyone considering treatment for their mental health, Ed’s message is clear: take that first step.

“If you’re thinking about coming to The Remedy, don’t wait,” he says confidently. “I can’t recommend them enough. The team here changed my life, and I’ll always be grateful for the care and healing I found here.”
